The Poconos Mountains are located within Pennsylvania; their location near the East Coast provide for a great package vacation for a day or two. They are a little drive away from all nearby cities including New York. You can easily have a weekend trip with your family there if you live close, and let yourself forget the cares and worries of the world for a couple of days in the mesmerizing cold climate that the mountainous region has to offer. Entering Poconos If you are driving to Poconos, you will have to take the highways I-80 (if coming from the East or the West), the I-81 (if coming from the North) or the I-476, I-81 or the Route 33 (if coming from the South).
